Primary Menus

The layout of the program during gameplay is illustrated below:

In-Game indicators: These fields indicate your current game status, including Score, Cubes to Go, Time, and Level.

Menu & Game Control buttons: These buttons provide access to game menus and set basic game options.

Next Piece indicator: These cubes represent the next three available cubes to be fired on the board, in order from RIGHT TO LEFT. Wise players will use this information to plan for optimal cube placement.

Gameplay area: This area is the live playing area for the game and where you will spend most of your time in the game!

In-Game Indicators

Indicator Function
Score The player's current number of points gained from playing the game.
Cubes to Go In Arcade mode this represents the number of cubes of any type that must be removed to complete the level. In Puzzle mode this represents the number of Star cubes remaining to complete the level.
Time The time left in seconds to complete the level.
Level The current level number.

 

Menu & Game Control Buttons

Button Function
The central control button for the game: Launches the Main Menu to access all features in the game, such as Settings, Play Games, Downloads, etc.
Toggles game music ON or OFF. Lit means ON; grayed-out means OFF.
Toggles game sounds ON or OFF. Lit means ON; grayed-out means OFF.
Loads this Help file in your default Web browser.
Pauses and Unpauses the game. Only available during gameplay.
Exits the game completely.

 

Main Menu

The Main Menu allows the player to access all sub-menus in the game.

Play a Game: Launches the Gameplay Menu: Start here to play a new game, load a saved game, practice a level, or play the tutorial.

HighScores: View the Top 10 scores for each Game / Game Type.

Settings: Launches the Settings Menu to control user preferences for the game.

Level Editor: Enter the Level Editor to create a new game or edit an existing game.

Downloads: Launches the Downloads Menu to allow online access to download new games and themes.

 

Gameplay Menu

Start in the Gameplay Menu to play a new game, load a saved game, practice a level, or play the tutorial.

Game Type -- Arcade / Puzzle: Select either Arcade or Puzzle mode for the Game Type that you wish to play.

Game List: A list of available games for that Game Type. The default games are Game Pack 1 and Game Pack 2. Single-click to select a game or double-click to select and start a new game automatically.

Play!: Launches the selected game in the Game List.

Tutorial: Launches the game Tutorial to teach you how to play. Start here if you are new to the game.

Practice: Launches the selected game in Practice mode where you can practice each level individually. Practice mode scores cannot be saved to Top 10 High Score lists.

Load a Game: Jumps to a list of Saved Games for the Game / Game Type.
